HALO – Technology that delivers multi-faceted results!

Wear and tear of everyday living causes the signs of aging that we all try to avoid. Visible signs of aging include but are not limited to wrinkles, discoloration, scars, and increased laxity. HALO has beyond a doubt revolutionized the medical and aesthetic industries. HALO consistently addresses these concerns and gives amazing results to patients in just one to two treatments! Patients will see a noticeable enhancement to their skin within weeks. Around here, we call it the HALO Glow.

What is HALO and how does it work?
HALO is the first Hybrid Fractional Laser that provides resurfacing to the skin. It uses both non-ablative and ablative wavelengths to maximize clinical results but also minimize downtime. Prior to HALO technology, patients could expect at least 5-6 treatments, each with longer downtime to do the same thing.

What kind of concerns does HALO address?
As mentioned, HALO is truly a multi-faceted treatment. It targets and improves many aspects of anti-aging that we are all seeking. Indications for HALO include:

  • Wrinkles and fine lines
  • Sun damage, brown pigmentation, hyperpigmentation
  • Skin resurfacing or textural issues
  • Scar revision
  • Enlarged pores
  • Actinic Keratoses
  • Laxity

HALO can be utilized on the face, neck, chest, and body as well! According to realself.com, HALO has an 86% “Worth It” rating.

What to expect?
Ideally, we will complete a Skin Analysis Consultation prior to treatment with HALO. This allows us the opportunity to learn about your concerns and goals. This also gives us a baseline photo to refer back to and allows you to see your own before and after photos!

Once here for the treatment, we will apply numbing cream to the skin being treated and will leave it on for 60 minutes prior to beginning the treatment. Once numb, goggles are applied to protect the patient’s eyes and the procedure begins. Most commonly, patients rate the discomfort of HALO at around 3-4/10 (10 being the worst). It is accurately described as heat with an added exfoliating sensation.

Once the treatment is complete, you can go home. It is common to feel a mild/moderate sunburn sensation for the first 90 minutes. The warmness should dissipate after this. The patient will be sent home with post care instructions and post care product recommendations. The main take away is to treat your skin as you would treat a sunburn. Be gentle!

Patients can come back in 8 weeks to take and review their after photos. It is ideal to complete their second treatment at this time as well! Maintenance HALO procedures can be done once a year or every 6 months after that.

Photos below illustrate what to expect on the days following your HALO treatment: Before, Day 2, and Day 3.
